Fire In The Night

Woken up at 3.15 by a big bang outside, followed a few minutes later by a bigger bang. Smell of burning and visible smoke being blown by the wind. Had to get up and check the house, then a fire engine came along the street; the fireman said they had been called but didn’t know where the fire was! eerie and unsettling. Nothing in the newspapers today. A bomb?

Ian Reid

Died of lung cancer on Monday. A great guy, a sore loss to all his family colleagues and friends, one of whom I count myself very lucky to have been.

Here he is in CDG Paris in 2001.

Ian Reid 1960–2014.

And this is his music.
