One downside of the unusually lovely weather.

Today we were allowed to slightly mingle, saw Jane Anne and Derrick in their back garden. All well with them.

Trying Jamkazam, with limited success so far. So much depends on individual internet speeds.

Wolfgang Flür

Played tonight at Summerhall. Largely, he moved about a bit in front of two Apple laptops. Films showed 70’s Kraftwerk, some of which I hadn’t seen before. Glad I went. With Ian C, and bumped into Penny (Ex-work).

The Lighthouse/ Badger

Went last Friday to the Odeon to see The Lighthouse, amusingly grim. On the way saw my first live badger.

Gig 51

Traverse, Monday 17th February 2020
Supporting “Dominic Waxing Lyrical”
Setlist: Pictures of Biggles, Cool, No-One Wants You Watching, Exit Plan, (OK) No Love Affair, The g Factor, Red Star, It’s Abnormal, Mouse In Love
Soundman: Mike, surly but fair, and a super clear sound. I had taken my amplifiers just in case, but no need. Helpful staff found a long VGA lead.
Very well received, spontaneous praise from strangers, and many CD’s gone. First live outing for the opening three on Acme. Worked as they should.
Felt grown-up in the Green Room. Offers of gigs!

1917

Remarkably good film. Enthralling, moving, with marvellous camera work so good as to be impossible.
