Low Emission Zone

I e-mailed Edinburgh Council thus:

Hello

I went to the consultation exercise today at the Leith Asda, and I noticed on the plans that the Eastern edge of the City Centre zone boundary has been distorted to allow access to St Andrew’s House, and the Scottish Parliament building without crossing the line.

I think the boundary should be altered and moved Eastwards; that way the Ministers and Civil Servants would be setting a good example, not a bad, unfair, self- entitled example.

No wonder people are cynical.

Visited Floors Castle yesterday, very impressive parterre garden.

Empty Tartine

Met Dale Garbutt last night; originally planned to go to the Vaults but they were on a ticket-only exhibition evening so went to Café Tartine, which was empty.

Decision

The time has come to replace the old 1950’s chintz lampshade. Had to be quite firm about it.
